Having outgrown their existing premises, in Honiton, Devon, family business Halse of Honiton proposed to move to a new larger site off the A30. Building Services Consultants were appointed as part of the Client’s design team to provide detailed tender documentation and assist the Client through the Tender and Construction process.
The project included 1000m2 of air conditioned office space and trade floor, large internal trade stores, 10 No. workshop bays and external machinery storage with unloading bay. Specialist controls installer Colton Controls were engaged to provide comprehensive energy monitoring, HVAC control and fault alarms; with the facility to provide off-site alarms.
To improve the businesses stock management, and sales services, extensive data installations were installed to provide both hard-wired and wireless facilities throughout all buildings and the 1.74 ha site.
