Building Services Consultants worked in conjunction with NOMA Architects and BRunelcare up to planning and procurement of a Design & Build Contractor, for this 3-storey development including 48 dementia care bedrooms, 14 extra care apartments and new Head Office for Brunelcare. On appointment of the Contractor, our appointment shifted to Client's Consultants providing advice and assistance to Brunelcare and the Employer's Agent throughout the construction phase.
An innovative wireless nurse call solution, developed with APE Fire & Security, was adopted to enable silent fire alarm and ultimate flexibility for building users.
The building was designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent for energy, including a 45kWp solar photo-voltaic array at roof level and comprehensive BMS system providing control, metering and monitoring of building services; developed in collaboration between Building Services Consultants and TESA (Western).
